The IBR2001 input/output board is an
integral component of the NOVA 2001 PA system. System controllers can be fitted with
an IBR2001 board for general-purpose I/O and alarm facilities (up to 16 boards for 16 in
/ 20 out each) for a total management capability of external signals. The
opto-coupled inputs (up to 256) and relay outputs (up to 320) guarantee maximum flexibility
over many different systems.
Each input can be programmed for three different logical operations: normally on,
normally off, and triggered on status change. A software debounce prevents false level
reading.
All input opto-couplers are connected via a common anode, with dedicated bias voltage
input.
Each output can be programmed for four different logical operations: normally open,
normally closed, timer mode, and pulse mode. In pulse and timer mode, it is possible
to program different times or duration, for each output.
All output relay coils are common positive connected, with dedicated supply voltage
input.
One LED lamp is present for each input and output to provide status indication for each.
All functions are controlled by an internal microprocessor, which communicates with
the System Controller through the
motherboard.
