Ideal for a self contained plant or platform, the Elemec plus PA/GA is a central amplifier public address,
general alarm, voice alarm, and voice evacuation system which utilizes central amplifier architecture with a
microprocessor-controlled head end to distribute audio signals over loudspeakers. System pages may be
generated from Elemec plus Access Panels, external telephone systems, intercom systems, radios, etc.

The Elemec plus system is available in four basic
configurations:
Single-sided - A single-sided system comprising of one set of “head end” equipment to control the system.
Speakers are then connected to amplifiers as required.
Hot standby single-sided: A single sided system with a “hot standby” amplifier that is automatically
substituted for a damaged amplifier.
Redundant: The redundant ABS style system includes two system controllers, usually referred to as “A” and
“B”, that are linked via an RS485 interface. These units are in continuous communication and if
one unit is damaged or taken out of service, the other unit will automatically control all amplifiers.
The system speakers are divided equally between the two controllers.
Duplicated - For the maximum level of safety, we offer a DNV style duplicated system.
Typically, this includes two totally redundant
head-end controllers and amplifiers in separate
cabinets at different locations. In this
configuration, two completely separate and overlapping
speaker systems are required, meaning that
each area of the facility would have speakers powered by each of the two systems. Should a
speaker line be damaged then the second speaker will continue to operate maintaining full
coverage.
